Welcome to my stop on the hop. Did you just come from Kirsteen Gill’s amazing blog? You can get back to her via the “previous button” or just keep on hopping and you will get to her soon.
Be sure to continue on though the hop until you get back to where you started. If you take the time to comment on each blog with “#SFMayHop” as you travel through, you will be entered to win a prize from each of us … One lucky winner gets LOTS of surprises in the mail. Details are below.
As usual, this month we have three talented Guest Hoppers joining us. Be sure to say hello to them as you travel through the hop.

I chose to do a “Thinking of You” card and a slatted flower basket. I got my inspiration for the card from Linda Heller over at Stamping School. The slatted basket is from a tutorial I found in Splitcoast Stampers.
Using the diamond design from the retiring “Happy Patterns” decorative mask (138313), I sponged in a diagonal pattern, bottom right to upper left … darker to lighter using Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder ink on Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is from the retiring hostess set, “Best Thoughts“. I mounted this on a Basic Black card base.
I stamped the hyacinths from “Helping Me Grow” (140764) in archival black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. After coloring the image with Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum using daubers and a Pear Pizzazz marker, I fussy cut them out and popped the blossoms up on dimensionals. A piece of Pear Pizzazz cotton ribbon and some clear Wink of Stella completes the card front. Inside I stamped a portion of the hyacinth image, leaving the rest blank for a personal note.
The Slatted Basket is amazingly easy to make (following the tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers). I think it makes a perfect presentation for a small plant. The basket’s inside dimension is 4″ x 4″ x 3.25″ tall. It is extremely sturdy.
I used a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Elegant Eggplant cardstock for the basket’s foundation and 6- 1″x11″ strips of Regals Designer Series Paper Stack for the side accents. I decided to add a 1/2″ narrow strip of DSP around the top. I chose not to add a handle since I put a plant inside.
I think this is a great gift to show someone you are thinking of them.
I hope you enjoyed my post …. now for prizes. Please comment on each blog in the hop, using #SFMayHop along with your comment. (Please note … the prizes pictured are NOT what the winner will receive.) The winner will receive a prize from each of the bloggers in this hop!
