Welcome to the Masculine Stampin Friends Hop!
Welcome to my blog. If you have arrived from the always amazing Kirsteen Gill’s blog , WELCOME! … I’m glad you came for a visit! I am in AWE of that tie box she made!! Be sure to continue though the hop until you get back to where you started. I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hop on through! The list of participants is at the bottom of this post.
Here are my projects for our Masculine No Rules hop.
Beware: The Designer Series Paper, ribbon and stamp set will retire on May 31st. Be sure to place your order SOON if you want these retiring items!
My card base is Night of Navy. I punched an assortment of Tailored Tags from the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper. I adhered them in an organized fashion on a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of Chocolate Chip card stock (Chocolate Chip is RETIRING). Then I wrapped the piece with a length of Night of Navy Corduroy 3/8″ ribbon. I inked up my stamp from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set, using Stampin Write Markers in Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide and Chocolate Chip and stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I then punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch. I popped the completed layer up on dimensionals. For my project, I used a silver Mini Gable Box … Spoiler alert … these boxes and the Tailored Tag Punch WILL still be available in the BRAND NEW Annual Stampin’ UP! Catalog. Plus the boxes will also come in WHITE!!! The box was very easy to cover with Designer Series Paper. The box is perfect for Father’s Day or Dad’s Birthday … just fill it with his favorite candy and a gift card!

Welcome to my contribution to the Team Stamp It Summer Lovin’ Blog Hop. Either this is your first stop or you arrived via Liz Miller’s blog. Isn’t she wonderful!!?? Now … on with the show!
Here it comes … in New England, SUMMER has arrived…. I think! Daytime temperatures are in the upper 70’s to 80’s …. ahhhh … heaven! Especially after this past winter! We did manage to get a couple days of spring in between… not enough … but it will have to do.
To me, summer means vacation. ahhh …. And vacation means boating on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. ahhhhhh….. And boating brings to mind a nautical theme for my card. (Please forgive the starfish … no starfish are found in Lake Winnipesaukee!) … and just how many h’s does one use in “ahhhhhhhh“?
Can you believe this is the first time I used the stamp set Sea Street?? I am VERY glad it carries over to the NEW annual catalog! I used several (FIVE) stamp sets for this card, all of which carry over into the new catalog. I really couldn’t decide whether to use the anchor from Sea Street or The Open Sea. Which do YOU prefer?
(Real) Red, (Whisper) White and (Night of) Navy … the colors of summer … Memorial Day (the unofficial start of summer), Flag Day and the Fourth of July. I stamped the Night of Navy card bases with Whisper White Craft ink, using the starfish, randomly, on one card and the rope, lined up vertically, on the other. The Stamp-a-ma-jig and my grid paper came in handy when lining up the rope because the stamp only covers half the height of the card base. I also used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the Sea Street anchors. I lined up the red rope image using my grid paper. A trio of candy dots and some baker’s twine adds some texture to an otherwise flat card … no Stampin’ dimensionals! … it’s not often I can say that! (Oh … I did cheat and use Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine on one of the cards … since we don’t carry it in Real Red.)
I used “Life is Good” from Remember This (A Project Life set), “At Last” from And Many More and “Summer” from another Project Life set, Day to Day. This card lends itself to a variety of occasions … Father’s Day or masculine birthday come immediately to mind. Just change up the inside sentiment to fit your need.
I’m glad you took the time to visit … now …..
… next stop: Tami White’s blog (our fearless leader!).
Enjoy your summer … I know I will!
