Let me give credit where credit is due. For the card, I was inspired by a beautiful card Selene Kempton posted … I made a few changes to make it more formal. The Envelope Punch Board Faceted Box was made following a YouTube video by Linda Parker. Thank you ladies!
The theme is Black, White and Whatever You Like. So I’m not sure … BLACK I have covered! WHITE .. well I do use white embossing powder and a white ribbon … is the dazzling diamond glimmer paper my ACCENT color .. or just more white??? … and there is silver in the ribbon. Hmmm … YOU decide.
I used the Stylish Stems Framelit Dies (142750) on both the card and box. This can be found in the Stampin’ Up! 2017 Occasions catalog on page 42. “Floral Phrases” (141764) from the annual catalog on page 77 provided the sentiments.
Here is my card front. A Basic Black card based embossed with the “Petal Burst” embossing folder (141493), followed by a layer of basic black, a layer of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and topped with the die cut basic black layer is all there is to it
“Wedding Wishes” is heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few basic rhinestones. I love the glimmer on this card. It is just sooo elegant. I tied a piece of FREE silver and white metallic ribbon (that I earned from Sale-A-Bration) around the card base.
The layer on top of the ribbon is popped up on Stampin’ dimensionals. The inside of the card has an additional die cut to dress it up.
My 3-D project was so much fun to make … and amazingly easy. This box is quite large. It is 2 inches tall and the top is about 4 1/2 inches square. It is made from two 7 inch squares of card stock. I used more die cuts and dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. The box ties closed with that amazing FREE ribbon. Please check out Linda Parker’s video that I mentioned earlier if you want to make this box.
I hope you enjoyed my post. I’d love it if you can take the time to leave me a comment or a question.
