Here are my projects.  Everything I used (except the jelly beans) is from Stampin’ Up!
Easter will be here before we know it.  Time to start making cards and treat boxes.

The card style is a “Spring Card”.  I am sure it’s called “spring” because it is so bounce-y.  It is a really FUN card.  I keep touching it so it will “boing, boing, BOING!!”  (It really should make that sound!).   This is a square card so you will need to make an envelope for it … or if you are like me … you stocked up on square envelopes when they retired a few years back!  There is a tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers.com if you want to make this card.

The theme is Easter.  I wasn’t going to buy the Basket Bunch Bundle, which includes the Basket Bunch stamp set and Basket Builder Framelits, because of ALL those dies!!  However … I am so glad I did!  The bundle works wonderfully when using colored card stock OR Whisper White card stock if you want to break out your favorite coloring paints, pencils or markers.  For today’s projects, I went with colored card stock.

I stamped my chocolate bunnies in Early Espresso ink on Chocolate Chip card stock, then using my Big Shot, cut them out.   When I do this again, I think I’ll go with Soft Suede card stock so the stamping is more visible.  Don’t forget to take a “bite” out of one bunny’s ear with the retired 7/8″ scallop punch.  So cute!

Okay … so I couldn’t stop.  I made more than one card!  I wanted to use up some of my Designer Series Paper Stacks (subtles used here) because I have a feeling they may be retiring with the new catalog in June. I used the floral side.

I stamped a bunch of bunnies, eggs, flowers from solid card stock from the subtles collection and Whisper White stitched squares (using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies).  I saved cranking time at the Big Shot by cutting all 4 items on one pass through.  Just trim your card stock into manageable pieces.

To layer the sections of the card with Designer Series Paper, I cut the appropriately sized paper into squares and then cut on the diagonal to form triangles as needed.  You can see I also wanted a place to sign the card in the back … so I added a Whisper White triangle.  If you look closely, you’ll see I stamped some Wild Wasabi grass on the white triangle. Once the card was all embellished, add some glue, close the card and voila!  BOING!

Here is my 3-D project … made from the Baker’s Box die... complete with a cat (who thought my photo booth was a great place for his morning nap)! …who am I to relocate him????  I think he was making sure I didn’t eat the props!

Before I assembled the Baker’s Box, I adhered the Sweet Sugarplum check from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper to the box sides.  I then cut out a bunny shape with the die to create a window.  I took a piece of Window Sheet and stamped it with the bunny’s image in black Stazon ink.  Stazon dries quickly on the Window Sheet and there is no smearing.  I used glue dots to adhere the Window Sheet to the inside of the box.  Peek-a-boo!

The Sweet Sugarplum box is put together using Tear & Tape.  Glue dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue holds all the decor on.  The tag is cut from Tags & Labels Framelits.  The “Happy Easter” comes from the Circle of Spring stamp set.  A Gold Binder Clip and a bow tied with a length of 3/8″ Sweet Sugar Plum Ruched Ribbon holds the top closed.  Just remove the binder clip for easy jelly bean access!

I hope you enjoyed my post.  I’d love it if you can take the time to leave me a comment or a question.
