I saw a template by Gina K being used in assorted videos during the last couple of weeks that makes making wreaths with a stamp placement tool quite simple. I thought INGENIOUS!!! So armed with a window sheet, a sharpie black fine tipped marker, a ruler and my grid paper, I DREW myself a template. (The template I saw by Gina K, is cut out)
My Whisper White card stock is cut 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ to fit my template (see template below). I used assorted stamps from Beautiful Bouquet and Blooms and Wishes to make the wreath. Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Spots provided my ink colors.
For my project, I made a holder for my STAMPARATUS. I saw other crafters using the box the tool comes in to make a holder. I decided I wanted mine to be a bit larger. I covered an empty Paper Pumpkin box (minus the flaps on one end) with a couple of sheets of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. It is nice and sturdy!
Below, you can see the Template I drew on a 6″ x 6″ window sheet. Each straight side is 3 3/4″. Lining things up was easy using grid paper.
I added the stamps to the STAMPARATUS as I made the wreath. I started with one stamp, stamped the 1st element a few times, turning the card stock 1/8 turn after each inking. Then I added the second stamp where I wanted it to fall, stamped a few more times, then added the 3rd, then the fourth element. Each time I inked and stamped, I turned the card stock 1/8th turn. Eventually, the wreath was completed. After the 1st card was done, it was very quick to create a second wreath because I left all the stamps mounted. I could then stamp all 4 at the same time. Once I completed my 1st wreath, I just left the stamps mounted on one of the Stamparatus plates. I marked the colors next to the stamps because I am teaching this technique in a class next week.
