Stampin Friends No Rules June Hop

Welcome to my stop on the hop.  Did you just come from Steph Jandrow’s amazing blog?  You can get back to her via the “previous button” or just keep on hopping and you will get to her soon.

Be sure to continue on though the hop until you get back to where you started.  If you take the time to comment on each blog with “#SFJuneHop” as you travel through, you will be entered to win a prize from each of us … One lucky winner gets LOTS of surprises in the mail.  Details are below.

As usual, this month we have three talented Guest Hoppers joining us.  Be sure to say hello to them as you travel through the hop.

                                                                ***********
Well, here are my projects.  Everything I used is from Stampin’ Up!

I chose to do a baby card and one of those shadow boxes that are out “there”.  I got my inspiration for the “Pop Up Z-fold” card from Linda Heller over at Stamping School.  The shadow box is from a pictorial tutorial by Mary Ann Rossiter (www.stampinmak.com) that I saw in one of the card making Facebook groups.

The Mint Macaron card has Soft Suede accents.  I used the coordinating In Color Designer Series Paper Stack .  The Z-fold portion is a 5 1/4″ x 6″ piece of whisper white, scored at 2″ & 4″ on   the long edge.

I cut the opening in the card front with the largest scalloped square from Layering Squares Framelits.  The DSP scalloped square is cut from the next size down. The DSP square is mounted on a square of Whisper White card stock … the safety pin is sandwiched between the layers.

Using Something For Baby and the coordinating dies, Baby’s First Framelits, I stamped the carriage twice and die cut both … fussy cutting the mint macaron carriage body to layer on the soft suede carriage with dimensionals.  I used sentiments from Cottage Greetings on the card front and Suite Sayings inside the card.  Pearls on the flower and wheels are a must!

I couldn’t believe how easy this frame is to make!  AND it is a good size frame.  The interior is 7″ square.  I wanted to use Mint Macaron … but… alas, I have no more Designer paper in that color!!!!! … so I went with a great standby … Pool Party.

I got to use my brand new Large Letter Framelits!!  They just arrived last Friday.  I used the same stamp set, Something for Baby with the Baby’s First Framelits to add the interest.  A few basic pearls finish it.

I used a 12″ x 12″ sheet of DSP.  I scored 4 lines every 1/2″ on all 4 sides.  A few short score lines  and an angled cut was all there was to it.  Fold it all up.  I used Tear n Tape to secure the sides of the frame.

I thinking this is an adorable little gift for a baby shower or décor for the nursery.
